Dubai Villa Lighting Project

This was my first project where I had the opportunity to fully experiment with lighting. Because it was a project based on lighting I decided that all the renders should be done at night.

 

I used an old Revit model which had already been created as a template for the building before adding my own lighting and furniture to it. My my main aim was to focus on the exterior façades, being based in Dubai it was important that the building stood out next to its competitors.

 

The idea was to have an external solution that combines dynamic, local and contour luminaries. It can highlight the dimensions of the building, emphasizes the architectural elements, creates dynamics, attracts attention.

 

The building contains flexible cords, neon, luminous tubes and spot light on the exterior along with predominately LUG lighting interior fixtures used in most of the rooms. The rooms are displayed like an exhibition space, with art work made by local Dubai artists such as Dina Sami and Hassan Sharif on the walls, along with designer furniture and custom pieces such as the stairs complementing them in the final build.

 

Lighting in the pool and in the car park were also included to provide extra light for visitors travelling to and from the building and to make the exterior premises feel more inviting and luxurious.
