Villa Arditi

 

This project was originally designed to be a quick project to test my lighting skills on Revit. However it quickly became a project that I became very passionate about. The site for this building was located on Lake Como located in Italy. This location is very exclusive and is home to many house front villas worth many million pounds each. I wanted to design a building which blended in with the surrounding landscape and suited the neighbouring Italian styled buildings, however i wanted the interior to be very modern and include several hidden areas which would benefit the owner without looking out of place in its given location. As the site is located on a bank, there are several levels, meaning that (as long as money is no object) additional building space can be added into the side of the hill, which in this case houses an underground car park which can be seen from the ground floor of the mansion. The Villa also has a swimming pool, gaming room, lake front jetty and several guest bedrooms. Most of the Villa is open plan to give the impression of more space and to allow as much natural light as possible into the interior rooms of the villa.
