END OF THE LINE

ALDWYCH

End Of The Line End Of The Line

End Of The Line offers customers a unique dining experience within the setting of an abandoned tube station in the heart of London. The new layout uses the existing platforms as fine-dining seating areas for customers, whilst an original tube train carriage which is placed at the end of each platform acts as the kitchen, prep and food storage area.

End Of The Line offers customers an exciting and appetising menu, using the fresh produce made in the very building itself via hydroponic systems set up in the far end of platform 2. Platform 1 offers more of a traditional pub setting rather than fine dining, still offering food menus but predominantly focusing more as an extension of the ground level bar area. The aim of this restaurant is to encourage healthy eating and show people how this type of farming and food production can be easily integrated into more urban areas as a result of not relying on vast amounts of space, perfect weather conditions and plenty of sunlight.

The Restaurant should also revitalise the area of Aldwych and turn this long abandoned tube station into a tourist hotspot, and with the Westminster councils plans of turning Strand street into a pedestrianised ‘Eco zone’, the buildings location and concept is perfectly aligned with the councils intentions.
