Space Invader Offices Room 1

In this space the concept was intended for a small independent business, potentially specialising in one specific area of work such as consulting or building surveyors. I wanted the interior aesthetic to be very elegant with designer furniture and a unique colour scheme throughout.

The main colours used for this room is mustard yellow, teal, grey and dark oak wood, however there are also dark Navy blue carpets along with grey flooring located in the private toilets.

Although this room was the smallest of the three rooms, the space still contains a small kitchen area and living space, 2 unisex toilets, a shower, four large desks and working spaces, a social seating area for clients and a meeting room.

Space Invader Offices Room 2

The main demographic targeted for this room was younger clients, with the idea of bringing your home to work with you. The atmosphere of this space is very relaxed, encouraging social interaction and making clients feel very much at home in this space. The interior was designed around the idea of ‘retro modernism’, or retro aesthetic in mind. The space was fitted with a custom pool table, small cafe and bar area, a ten person hot-desk to encourage teamwork, two unisex toilets, a shower room and a small office. The room has been decorated with art murals on some of the walls inspired from a Manchester based artist Nomad Clan which style matched the funky 80s and 90s.

Space Invader Offices Room 3

This room was designed in a way that allowed clients to rent out certain areas of the space as it was considerably larger than the other two rooms. This means the area can be spaced out, still meeting the design brief for the amount of desks and other specific requirements.

This floor plan gives people a choice to either it collaborate with others in a social environment or work independently in the private areas for single workers or small groups if necessary. The central break area has a kitchen island for washing and storing food, whilst the surrounding sofas and custom interior swing seats offer workers a place to sit on their rest break.

The space also holds three hotdesks designed for twelve people each, five private booths, two conference rooms, a private office, an IT suit, a large storage room, four toilets (two male and two female) and a shower room.
